Product Introduction
Highway noise barrier, also known as sound insulation wall, sound-absorbing barrier or silencing louver, is a sound absorption & insulation barrier assembled by color steel sandwich acoustic components with sound-absorbing materials as core materials. The sound-absorbing acoustic components of color steel noise barriers can be fabricated into various sound absorbing & insulating acoustic units, including louver type, perforated type, micro-perforated type and slotted type.
Louvered and perforated sound-absorbing color steel composite panels feature favorable medium and high-frequency sound insulation performance, while solid color steel composite panel components without holes perform better in insulating medium and low-frequency noise. Accordingly, noise barriers with different structural forms can be selected according to noise characteristics.Product Features: It presents excellent sound absorption and insulation performance within 400~800 Hz, the frequency band where highway traffic noise energy concentrates. The material boasts advantages of low cost, light weight, water resistance, high strength, attractive appearance, long service life, rapid construction and convenient maintenance.Application Scope: Currently, noise barriers are mainly applied for sound insulation and noise reduction in transportation and municipal infrastructures such as expressways, elevated composite roads, urban light rails and subways to mitigate the impact of traffic noise on adjacent urban areas. They can also be adopted for noise control in factories and other noise sources.◎Flat Louver Hole Type

Sound Absorption and Noise Reduction Principle of Noise Barrier
Porous materials attenuate sound waves via countless tiny open pores extending from the surface to the interior. They mainly absorb medium and high-frequency sound waves, including organic/inorganic fibers with fibrous aggregate structures and their finished products, open-cell foamed plastics with porous structures, and expanded perlite products.
Flexible membrane materials, sheet materials and perforated plates (plates or metal sheets with drilled holes, mainly for absorbing intermediate-frequency noise) absorb sound by resonance effect.
Combined application of the above materials can broaden the sound absorption frequency range, increase the sound absorption coefficient and achieve noise control. Apart from airborne sound absorption, porous materials can also suppress vibrations induced by structure-borne sound and cavity resonance sound. Filling porous materials into composite structures composed of various plates can enhance sound insulation performance and reduce structural weight.
